Spartan's Edge.

Hmm. Has a ring to it. But not quite as relevant or obvious as "Internet Explorer"

Well that won't confuse people by looking like Internet Explorer's E at all...

Yep well done Microsoft let's give our new browser a very similar name to an existing enterprise server product

Is Windows 10 stable enough to use as a main OS yet?

Depends on your standards for stable.

Some corporations won't consider an OS stable enough to use until it's been out for a year and the first service pack has been released.

you can upgrade if you want to keep your programs do some back ups first though just incase but usually a clean install is best or could dual boot to make sure you can go back if you have problems

Maybe that's the point?

As far as I was aware for consumers you'll only have Edge installed in Windows 10 by default.

So by making the logo look similar to IE it's immediately obviously that it's the browser - even if you only then use it to download Chrome / Firefox etc.

But it will be an issue where you're in a corporate environment and the deployment includes both.
