Surprisingly, they found the time and resources to incorporate TiVo’s new HDUI (in a new hue). And it looks sharp. Including the first glimpse of what the new TiVo program guide and channel banner might look like

It looks like they have completed more that the US Premiere box, but as clinteastwood pointed out they have yet to finish it.

I'm just gonna put a sticker on the front of my Sammy with Tivo on it and get the third tuner before everyone else so there. :PP:

Reading all and considering what has been said within the threads. What disappoints me with this service, is that fact that VM's current V+ HD customers have already paid for their boxes and installation fees. In addition, the current V+ service isn't (to my mind) working as efficiently as it could, E.g with technical problems associated with: unexpected re-boots, picture pixelation, etc.

Now VM expects these loyal customers to pay through the nose again for a similar service that hasn't been technically proven on their infrastructure?

Okay, so these guinea pigs pays the £100+ for installation etc and then as a consequence end up with a flaky service, coupled with the hassle of loads of phone calls to a third world technical support service - yeah I can really see existing customers dashing out to get one of these.

Lets hope not all of us are that gullible! :dozey:

I honestly haven't had frequent reboots with mine or pixelation. Also I paid for my V+ a long time ago. Probably best for you to wait and see how everyone else gets on with the box, by which time more than likely the price will have dropped.

you paid for V+HD and you've got V+HD... this is a new service ;)

The "guinea pigs" are the VM staff, so no you won't be getting a "flaky service"

I've seen the box in the "flesh" so to speak and it works well :)

Does anybody know if the VM TiVo will have the ability to have different users like the TiVo Premiere? It would allow you to see your own shows that you watch and would have TiVo Suggestions based directly on only the shows you watch.

Thanks for that. I've actually just checked and found out that the Premiere does not have users, but the screenshot was just a leaked picture and nothing has been heard of since.

Seems that TiVo have put more effort into this new VM box than the ones they make in the US!
