well the my comp docs network and bin are all in desktop icon settings then change icon.
Things like IE and control panel you need a shortcut not a desktop icon same as with hard drives etc. On a shortcut just right click select properties then change icon

Stuck on vista because XP went balls up on me :(

Seems nvidia finally got their drivers sorted though, so vista is actually upto good speed now.

It's a hard show to follow but keeps me glued to the screen with every episode, i'd feel -lost- without it :D

Sorry i did`nt reply earlier,had to take the troops along to Blackheath for the fireworks.
Plain ole Ubuntu with the AWN(avant window navigator) dock and Conky/ConkyForecast for the sys info on the right.

It's what vista should of been.

It's more stable than vista despite not being beta status just yet.

No bloat, low CPU idling, it's actually a pretty good OS so far.

This build is slightly faster than 6801 and has new wallpapers + new bootscreen.

Think its january 19th now.

To be honest its alot more stable than vista ever was, it runs quicker, all my apps work so i'll leave it on.

Installed it into a VM but havent tinkered with it yet.

Just buy a sata to esata converter(if your board does not have esata) buy a docking station and you can just use sata drives then buy as many as you want and swap and change how you wish (as long as hot swap is set up otherwise its shutdown change drive reboot) I would never trust 1tb to a usb drive

It`s just the default FF theme although it`s the gtk2 theme here at Gnomelook that actually does the job,system wide and not just FF.
The dark theme and my now usual dark wallpaper are just so much easier on the eyes i now find.

Not sure if being 40 this year has any bearing on that or if it`s just normal with 2 big screens burning holes in the eyes.:erm:

At work I have rotated my screen 90 degree's and put the photo on the right on it and rotate them with other picture of Summer Glau.
