Watched it last night thought the 3D was good a great episode and good series another great Us import look forward to the next episode

Went into Harrods in London today and they had a LG 3DTV without the need for glasses, insanely cool effect, might have just been there test video but the screen needs a higher "Hz" as you could notice it refreshing on the scenes with more movement. 3D material was coming from a standard LG Blu-ray player.

I took my sister in law in there today and noticed that as well. Couldn't see the effect though.

Ah! I saw the 'Test your Chuck 3D Glasses here!!!' thread but thought it was just that - a demo of the technology which I had already tried.

Well it's conspicuous by its absence in Catch Up TV On Demand but will undoubtedly turn up in TV Choice On Demand once series three starts airing.

There’s one problem: move your head just slightly to one side and the 3-D effect can slip frustratingly out of focus. The viewer must sit in one of six zones - or “sweet spots”; move between zones and the effect blurs. For a fully fledged couch potato, that level of immobility might not be too taxing, but for a fidgety film-watcher like me it was distracting. (Philips says its new Quad Full-HD screen has bigger sweet spots, which should reduce the problem.)

What does a 3-D TV look like? Like a standard flatscreen television. However, it actually sends out not one but multiple views. As long as you’re sitting in one of several “sweet spots” within a 135-degree viewing angle, each eye will pick up a separate view. This effect mimics the angular differences produced by a three-dimensional object and fools the brain.
