Anyone on here use Amazon Prime? The reason I ask is this, I have had it for just over a month and have watched some really good shows, but today I was messing about with what they had to offer in 4K UHD, there was quite a good selection, but on selecting some of them in 4K UHD the picture quality was very dark indeed, almost unwatchable actually, so I had a look around the net via google, and found that there have been a lot of complaints about this from other Amazon Prime users, and this was with different makes of TV too.
There doesn't seem to be any trouble with 4K UHD from Netlfix, anyone got any idea as to why this is?

Thx

I've not noticed anything on the little Amazon Prime UHD content I have watched.

But then as Amazon charge you a subscription to be a Prime customer and then charge extra for viewing programming - I don't watch much on there.

If you post some free titles I'll have a look.

One was the tour, with Clarkson et al in it, I tried others too, just randomly, but just the same, very dark

I've watch most of the Grand Tour and not seen any issues with that - it may be the tv needs calibrating for that input.

That is right. So where is Virgin Media in this competition?

They really need to step up and increase drastically the amount of streaming services available on the V6. Amazon and Now TV would be a good start.

Do any Roku devices allow 50 Hz video output yet?
If not I wouldn't want to use one for British TV.
Also do Roku's offer Netflix and Amazon Instant Video in 1080P with DD+ sound? I understand Netflix are quite restrictive on who they certify for this and am unsure if Roku is one that has their blessing.

Yes (Roku 2). Can't see a setting on Roku 2 for frame rate.

Tvplayer also on kodi although it's in a questionable repo tvplayer are fully behind it and are working to get tv playerplus intergrated too, they're working with the repo developer.

It's not questionable at all. In Kodi you have to enter your user name and password for the addon to work.

Thanks for update i thought the repo not addon was questionable as it's xunitytalk but judging by what you've posted it seems it's perfectly fine.

That repo is questionable, the main protagonist has carried out several shady acts over the years.
If you must use one of the addons from it I would advise installing only the addon you want from a zip file and never install the repo itself.

Its also worth noting the repo and the aforementioned main protagonist behind it are banned from the Kodi forums so if you ever go there for help and they see the repo or any of its addons in your log file you will immediately be told to delete it all before they will help.
