Cable Forum - Tivo V6 Virgin Media V6 - Powered by TiVo(new STB)

Any chance of a WWE network app on tivo? I used to use my ps4 for everything and now i can finally use netflix on tivo again....just missing that wwe app!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will get more apps in 2018. If so, hopefully, WWE Network will be one of them.

Should the v6 record 6 shows? Every Thursday the 6th show states its being recorded but there is a no red status and it cannot be played back?

Yes, it can record six, unless a tuner is in use for something else, such as watching a different 6th channel, or for VOD.

When you say "it cannot be played back", what exactly does it say? The 'Planned Recordings' and 'Recording Hiccups' sections may also explain why it isn't doing what you expect.

Perhaps a padding issue stopping the sixth one from recording? Were there programs recording before with after padding set?

What is your 'keep at most' set to in the series link?

Keep at most 5 with keep until space needed - will only keep last 5 episodes.
Keep at most 5 with keep until I delete - will only record 5 episodes before it stops.

Yes, this has been on the cards for some time, and I welcome this. The Horizon UI will look far better than the outdated one we have currently on the V6.

I think I read a couple of years ago that the plan was to upgrade the V6s to the Horizon UI about two years after launch, but that may have changed.

Had a strange one on the V6 box tonight, we were getting "audio description" whilst watching Master Chef on the BBC HD channel, most annoying, and it's the first time this has ever happened since we got the V6 boxes, I tried turning it off, but to no avail, so we ended up watching the SD version of that channel, not very good I must say, but watching in SD did not have "audio description", so the question is, has anyone else been affected by this, and if resolved, what did you do to fix it?

It was a BBC problem, reported on freeview too

If virgin did update to horizon on the V6 will we all be getting new remotes as the horizon remote has a keyboard on the underside.

Any recent videos of the Horizon UI about? I tried to look the other day but the videos seemed to be from around 2013 and obviously looked really dated by today's standards.

I don't think we would get new remotes as well. It's just an update on the software that we will be getting.
