I thought this would be the case seems like the TIVO boxes are quality hardware. It looks nice enough.

Is it smaller than the Samsung V+ box and has it got a digital display on the front?

It looks smaller to the Samsung to me, but I haven't got the diags to hand.

No digital display, just little lights that display certain functions in use. If the box is on standby, then you see no lights at all. :)

known issue, will be addressed in a future code release. you can press "ok" on any programme and get info, but if it's currently showing then it will take you to that channel instead.

Is there a list anywhere of these known issues, so we can see what they are and what priority is assigned to them?

There isn't a public list, no.

No lights when in standby thats great.

Shame I like the channel numbers on display, plus when your watching a recorded programme it's nice to see how long it's been running. But no big deal I guess probably wanted the box to look stream lined.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You do get used to it though and the box looks good under the tv :)

It looks a bit like the PS3 :D

In my opinion yes.

Live shows or studio shows aren't bad, dramas which have filmic effect added so they don't look studio shot are softer (as they would be normally).

Again don't let it put you off tivo, it's the best pvr out there and more. Try it for yourself for a week and if you don't like it cancel. :)
