If he's still well, could they do it online? Might make it easier to moderate.
But he is 74, classified as obese by his last medical so he may not be in top form come the next debate. I hope they both make a swift recovery and the US takes mask-wearing more seriously now.

Politically, surely this deprives Trump of the USP he'd tried to create - he's not "sleepy" Biden.

But it gives him and his supporters a get-out clause for not winning. Anyone expect to see a tweet from him in November saying something like:

If he has faked this all (the ultimate 'Fake News'?!), and this is his strategy, then it just shows how desperate things have become. Either way, it shows him up to be an idiot.

Not sure how you imagine this can be faked , there will be doctors swarming all over him.

I think we've seen with Boris how his performance (and polling) has suffered post-Covid. And he is far younger and less overweight than Trump.
