Just bloody great! I have been on Virgin for 3 years as can't get Sky in my bit of London (trees) - just about to move and Virgin get everything. At least my newplace gets Sky (but not Virgin lol).....

I would think it would be a small charge very small to justify it to me £10 would be to too steep poss around £5.

They would have to not charge for the basic Sky HD channels cause the 'Amazing HD, no extra monthly fee' would be a waste of money otherwise, maybe they will charge for the premium HD channels, this I can see as likely but the basic ones should definitely be free to XL customers. Or maybe they will just not charge any extra for any of the HD channels and Sky will drop it on their service, we just don't know yet.

I would expect the latter with sky dropping the £10 charge.

im expecting the HD movies and sports to come at an extra charge if you want them the others im expecting to be free otherwise why advertise as free HD when to get at least five of the non premium channels you have to pay

Seems crazy to me I thought with the sky sports wholesale reduction by Ofcom couldn't virgin just keep there prices the same to customers but not charge for HD.

or just reduce the price on the SD only pack... keeping HD at the old price.

If they were going to keep the same price as before, for sports channels and charge extra for HD, I can't see many paying for the uplift.

It is not as simple as that as the agreement reached by OFCOM/Sky and BT/Virgin/Talk Talk is that until the appeal is over the difference goes into a holding account and the winning sides get the money at the end. If Sky win the appeal that is potentially a lot of money Virgin would lose.
