Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Oh I don't know, the fewer Chelsea players on the pitch the better :)
And what a great way for Tevez to open his account :) |
Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
A good win, although heavily influenced by some shocking refereeing, I don't recall VDS making a single save, United were the better team throughout, a fully deserved their win.:)

In other news, Arsenal are now the richest club in the country. Welcome to second place, guys, in every sense. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...e_id=1779&ct=5 |

Still a good win and nice to see Chelsea back in their rightful place as a mid-table team :) |

You really crack me up sometimes :D On a lighter note, nice to see you returning to posting in the football threads. Nothing to do with Arsenal performing slightly better old chap? |
Re: Football : Season 2007/2008

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
not sure if this was true but I read that the match day earnings at Arsenal are higher than OT even though they have a smaller capacity. Maybe they make more on the corporate side of things i'm not sure.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
As always, there are 'Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics'
The recent Arsenal turnover figures are for 2006/7 the last published figures for most of the top clubs, United included are for 2005/6. It is estimated that United's will at least equal the Arsenal figure which has been achieved in no small part by unbelievably high corporate box charges, I suppose you could call it 'London weighting' extortion is more like it.:D Jim. |
Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Not that much of a shock really
Under-pressure Spurs boss Martin Jol has already negotiated a £4m pay-off from White Hart Lane after accepting the board want to replace him. (Various) |
