Train tickets to go and see my mother towards the end of the month, return two weeks later. Have to leave the OH here to hold the fort as he hasn't enough holiday at the moment if we're both going down again later this summer.

Checked what the off peak return is from Penzance to Falmouth and it's only £7.90 Bargain! Safe to say a trip to Trago Mills is on. :) (We do do other things whilst there)

Yes £7.90 is good value Heero.

Having watched the pickers in the supermarkets go for sub par fruit/veg and also low date stuff on purpose I doubt I'll ever use the service..

Generally my partner goes to the shop to get fresh fruit/veg as yes some of the stuff we ordered before was not of the required freshness and quality but in terms of most other stuff we are pretty happy with ordering online as it saves my partner from carrying some pretty heavy stuff.

I have seen good reviews about that smart watch, personally i can't see the point of smart watch, it is easier just to get my phone out my pocket and use the larger screen.

I haven't actually won a watch in years but really wanted one.

It's more the convenience of not having to take my note 3 out of my pocket. If I am out a or busy and can't look at my phone I can see the notifications on my wrist. Or cancel a call if I don't want to answer without actually having to look at the phone screen.

Hoping it will increase my battery life as well by not using my 0 hone screen as often.

Yes spent ages comparing and this seemed to be the best by far and also has a wifi chip which will be enabled in the next update soon.

I think with normal usage it will last a day and a half but it charges wirelessly so will just stick it on the dock every night anyway just like with my phone.

Oddly enough we saw them today at the same market stall. I've never tried them as they always seem to look a bit insipid to me but maybe that's the way they're supposed to be...

Great investment - I was bought a pair of QC3's a couple of years back, and it makes long (and medium) haul bearable.

I would suggest buying a second battery, in case of a long wait in the Departure Lounge.

Yup, it's a palm for our patio. Wanted one for years but the price put me off.

Took a friend to our local garden centre this morning to choose a plant for her birthday and found my Trachycarpus Fortunie sitting unloved in the Knock Down area. Was originally on sale for over £80 but it had been in too windy a position all winter and looked a right mess. Offered them £15 for it and they accepted. YAY.

Brought it home and did some drastic pruning and, with a a bit more loving attention, I should have a happy Palm by next summer.

Yes plants certainly can be expensive as my Dad is often chuntering on the phone to me how much some plants cost and you have certainly got a bargain jo so its does pay to barter that's for sure.

Re: What have you just bought?

Not exciting, but my last major purchase was a repair for our heating.

The combi boiler was regularly registering low pressure, so I figured (correctly) there was a leak somewhere in the system.

The system is insured but after three visits, the engineers sent by the insurers failed to find the fault, so I ended up paying an engineer myself, who checked the system over for an hour, then deduced there was a leak but couldn't find it, so he bunged a bottle of sealant in the system. Why the hell could the other engineers not have done that? I've ended up paying £120 to get someone in to do what I'm already paying the insurers to arrange.

I might look into getting a mech in the future, see how this goes. The Kbox was delivered yesterday, the subtank should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. The hardest thing to buy is the juice, there's some really bad tasting stuff out there! Blueberry, caremel and raspberry are the type I like.

Mix your own !!!!!!, I use 100%vg juice and mix to my own tastes, you'll find pg is too harsh and vg produces more vapour anyway ;)

Some high power epoxy encapsulated solar panels (30 for £15) and the white LED driver ICs off Ebay to repair some solar patio rock lights. Quite a few extra to play about with as they're so cheap: Solar mobile charger might be handy.

Panels are roughly 2" square and deliver 2V at 150ma compared to the rubbish in the existing cheapo lamps that only deliver 30-40ma. Combine with 2500maHr AA cells (were 600) and upped LED current should turbo them.:D

A new OKI C531DN laser printer. We did try some 3rd party toner but that didn't work and since OKI toner costs nearly £450 for high capacity units and the new printer (box opened) will be £160 after cash back it's a no brainer really. Even at full price I can get 2 printers for the price of one set of toner for similar print capacity.
