Steve Morgan seems to have his heart set on Curbishley so wouldn't surprise me if he's holding out until the end of the season to have another go at bringing him in.

Being a Spurs fan I asked a gooner at work what he thought the result would be on Sunday.

4 - 0 he said to Spurs, as Arsenal are playing carp.

Not really, this is Wolves we're talking about.
They did the same with Colin Lee in '98 when McGhee was sacked.

Not really, how many No 2s have been promoted to manager?

Also, considering he can't really alter the squad it makes sense for him to steady the ship until the transfer window opens.

I seem to remember Tony Parkes acting as caretaker for Blackburn on several lengthy occasions in the past.

But did not Steve Morgan the chairman state that this is a job for a experienced manager so by this appointment he seems to have retracted from that view but all the best to Terry Connor because he is going to need it as Mick McCarthy was very popular by all accounts and did a good job with what he had at his disposal.

more on the Arshavin move. after the league away game against Sunderland where he set up Henry for the winner he was said to be working wonders in training. he didnt feature apart from for the reserves after that. he must of asked to leave and Wengers allowed it.

it doesnt make sense because as far as i can see/read.. theres no future fee agreed for a full transfer.

And with Connor being McCarthy's former assistant there probably won't be many changes.

As for an experienced manager, I'm struggling to see who might want it, be good enough (not one of the usual journeymen who is mentioned for every vacancy), and be available.
