Our Sources says HIDDEN 23 is still present. The other removed channel/app is AMAZON VIDEO not HIDDEN 23.

No update on Fox News Channel or Kix Power

It's been a rollercoaster year for me den as you know! No news, rumours of it coming, news it's testing and when nothing... dreams, hopes, disappointment. It reminds me of life!

Our sources suggest Wuaki tv will launch in first quarter of 2017 on VM,
VM also to start rolling out UHD content during first quarter of 2017.

A little bit of patience goes a long way in my humble opinion.:)

No further info was given but we think it will be Discovery content and possibly ppv movies too.

AMAZON VIDEO was never added to regional NITs, you can't remove something that isn't added. Your sources are probably referring to the SDT, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Total Channels figure in diagnostics, I was already aware that Hidden 23 hadn't been removed from the SDT. Perhaps your source should spend less time scanning for cable channels on their TV and some time learning how DVB-C actually works. ;)

The Total Channels figure in diagnostics is the number of services on your local cable network (NIT). The channels list obtained by scanning cable on a TV is obtained from the SDT. They are like chalk and cheese, try not to confuse them.

Probably better not to get your hopes up before "test channels" are rolled out to the regional networks.

@jj20x (1) We just pass on info given to us by MB sources, (2) To be fair the Total channels did go up one last night (hid 53 reappear?)

(1) You asked about the Total Channels and gave your own suggestion as to why it had changed.

(2) I confirmed what you had said regarding BBC Olympics channels and had the NIT listing analysed by indexing the NIT entries, extracting the TSID, SID, Service Name fields. Sorting the SID field into numerical order and comparing to a similar extract from the previous scan. There are 68 networks in the scan and the BBC Olympics channels and the Hidden 23 placeholder had been removed from all 68 networks.

(3) Having confirmed what had actually happened for you, it is somewhat impolite for you to reply that the information is wrong and you have better information. Sorry but your information was wrong, feel free to report what your sources tell you but I'm quite sure that your sources didn't analyse the 61356 rows of data in the NIT to get that incorrect information.

(4) Feel free to draw your own conclusions if you prefer fantasy and speculation to the facts.

(5) So, the Total Channels count has changed again, better get your source to fill you in on why. ;)

To be fair, if you rely on the SDT, you will always be dealing with inaccurate information. Many services being listed which are only available in other regions and some services which have actually been removed from the NIT but are left behind in the SDT.

http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/1395...ablet-and-more

about the new V6 box

Virgin TV V6 TiVo box price and release date

The Virgin TV V6 box will be available to existing customers "before the end of the year" and new customers from January 2017.

There are no extra monthly fees, but customers will need to have the Virgin TV Mix bundle or higher to qualify for the box.

There is a £99.95 one-off upfront cost for the Virgin TV V6 box. As part of a promotion though, new and existing customers on a top-tier Full House or VIP bundle can get the box for £49.95 during the launch window.

Does the comment below mean If both are connected by wifi then you can record 12 shows are once, without having to say what box and does it show 2tb on either box

" Virgin Media has cleverly designed the new boxes to connect to each other and increase the storage. For example, if you have two Virgin TV V6 boxes, your storage capacity increases to 2TB (1TB per box) and you can record up to 12 shows at once. You can then play them back on either box without knowing, nor caring where the programme is stored"

You need both boxes connected via coax and then via Wi-Fi to your superhub.

This will then let you record 12 shows at once, but also watch any recording across both boxes.
