yes you do.

Misread what you said. Edited post. I thought you said he had to make a compulsory purchase. Effectively getting to 30% changes little for Arsenal...

"Officially" Alisher Usmanov needs 29 more shares as of today to reach the 30% thresholding of Arsenal football club

400+mil profit for Stan if he takes Usmanovs money. people reckon hes going to wait a few years. value is just going up.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

If Stan wanted to do it he wouldn't have to wait until Usmanov reaches 30%, he would have sold it already.

PSG secure new commercial agreement

Paris Saint-Germain have clinched a massive deal with the Qatar Tourism Authority that will bring the Ligue 1 leaders more than €150 million over each of the next four seasons.

m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=1271135&wjb

rising to 200mil plus the clauses. it was always going to happen wasnt it.

Surely UEFA aren't going to allow that. They haven't even tried to make it reasonable.

Didn't Man City pull a similar stunt or am I mixed up with something.

Wondering what the point of the new regulations were now. Seems pointless when it's now being exploited via shady sponsorship deals.

Define shady.

If other teams get sponsorship...through other than strictly commercial means, is that shady?

Could possibly other teams have gotten some sponsorship that way?

Or is it the amount?

And, how would they prove it? Presume a sponsorship should only be a certain amount? Say based on fan size, turnover? Ultimately that could punish smaller clubs. And how to count fan base, purely through the gates?

---------- Post added at 08:28 ---------- Previous post was at 08:27 ----------

And financial fair play is spurious...it favours teams that have already built a fan base, over many yearts using whatever means

Uefa has handed Málaga a one-year ban from European club competition after the Spanish club failed to pay players wages and tax bills on time.

Always about money

If you are racist, have bad fan behaviour (and not english), nothing much happens

But god forbid if you do anything to anger the money gods.

On BBC Sport website, they asked what goes into making the perfect footballer

Best answer so far, in my opinion
Steve Beaven on Twitter: "Skill of Messi, Touch of Messi, Pace of Messi, Personality of Messi, engine of Messi, passing of Messi, height of Crouch."
