Given that I have never said that "Tivo is perfect" there's no way you could have been referring to me. However, you still have no provided any evidence for your statement. Come on. It should be easy if it's been said.

Spoke to virgin TiVo team this morning they are brainstorming issues and collecting customers thoughts. They also read the forums but welcome anyone to call up and ask to speak to TiVo technical support. I gave lots of feedback most of which is posted here but I think it would be worth people ringing in and giving feedback. They said the more that give feedback the more likely things will be changed.

Well, some people have apparently been phoned up and asked for their feedback so I was waiting for that to happen to me. But if they don't mind people callling them with feedback, I have a long list ready ;)

Ring then Carl and make sure you select tv faults then when you get through to India ask for the TiVo team they will transfer you back through to England. Really nice people to speak to and I just said I had feedback to give and they said sure and he was writing things down as I said them. So they are listening but think they wanna do it in one fell swoop. He said update prob coming sept.

For what it's worth, I am having no problems with my Tivo! :)

It is far superior to V+ - especially how fast you can move through the TV guide, no waiting around for data to load, skipping though days instantly, and the guide is widescreen and HD quality - I love it.

It is pretty spooky when it starts recommending programs you like to you from other stuff you have watched.

I'm glad to hear it pal , I'm wondering if some of these many problems affecting people are network regional problems.

Ahh. No experience with those shows. More of a drama/scifi man myself. No problems with the likes of Fringe or NCIS (on FX); occasionaly hiccups with Hawaii Five-0, House and NCIA:LA but nothing major.

Does it work on Doctor Who then? The Ricky Gervais Show on E4 HD and South Park on Comedy Central HD works on 'New' only.

Tivo is awsome and not yet perfect but its getting there,Epg really does need sorting(there are people paying £3 per month for that).Should be a option for hd suggestions if available as i have stated before,The aknowlegements of new series on epg needs to be addressed rapid. They cant seem to get new series right on epg that are uk shows so doesn`t look good for usa ones for the forseable future,Think its bad when sd channel says new but the hd ones doesnt (eg waterloo rd+the apprentice).I love my tivo and i know its gonna get better,It aint as bad as some are making out

Think its more to do with inexperienced installers

Pretty sure that, given the context, that was supposed to be a joke. No-one could ever actually claim that Tivo was perfect. The S1 wasn't but it was damned close :)

Carl im not having a POP at you in fact if you cast your memory back I agreed you had given a fair review on the TIVO , so I'm not insinuating your claiming it to be problem free .

Well there is only ever one season at a time on the BBC so the setting on that SL is really irrelevant. I would think that for 'Watch' a "new only" SL won't work and would require a "new and repeats".

Good, but you specifically mentioned that certain "pro-Tivo users" have made such claims and I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim with links to relevant posts. :)

I definitely agree with that. I was close to cancelling my installation due to reading so much negative feedback of people having problems or not liking certain things, but having had TiVo installed yesterday I can honestly say I love it. Despite the little bugs, it's head and shoulders above the V+.

Is it just me that doesn't have the 'TiVo' logo that appears in the screenshots? It should be under the mini-TV screen but it's not there.
