You're right, & I've edited it.

nffc-please don't just copy/paste other people's (copyrighted) work.

All you need to do is sum up & provide a link to the article, thanks.

I didn't ever pass it off as mine though, I did provide links to both articles.

People who write such articles can get very tetchy with admins of sites where such things are copied and pasted....

I'm not going to, but I bet I could find over ten similar posts on here where articles have been copied from other sites and pasted with a link showing where they came from.

There's nothing wrong if you submit the link to where it came from.

Report them, then.

Now there's me thinking the admins formed the site rules.....

No, I'm not going to report posts because I don't see a problem with it, and it's not fair on other users to go grassing to mods all the time.

I'd also like to know where the site rules explicitly state you can't quote articles from other sites.

This is getting SO :notopic:

That's your choice.

.

Quoting and completely copying them are 2 different things. Doing what you did takes up uneccessary space. Part of being an admin is to keep the site as tidy as possible.

Yep, the team's decision is final, so let's leave it there.

If it hasn't already been suggested can I recommend that there be a "Football talk 2" thread started?

It's CF's version of War & Peace. ;) Don't end it now :) It can go on to be massive

Just to let you all know, in the next month or two I'll be closing this thread down permanently in order to start a new one ready for the new season.

This has been a great thread but I'd like to keep things fresh, so once all the play-offs etc have been completed, we can lock this one down.

The new one will be intended for the 05/06 campaign but will be open to any pre-season comments on transfers, friendlies etc. The new thread will open when this one closes and will have a new but football-related title. I'm thinking of calling it "On me 'ead, son"! or even "Back of the net", but you'll find out soon enough what the new name will be.
