Maybe a wind up, but if VM is going to concentrate on more Virgin exclusives (which don't come cheap) it would make sense for them to recoup this money as best they can.

I am currently watching 'Good Behavior', which is entertaining. My wife loves it. These exclusives are in danger of being missed by many, tucked away as they are in the on demand section, so it was a good move on their part to add this to 'My Shows'! What I'd call an elegant solution.

It might be worth noting that M and Player aren't the same. Flags were present for the largely obsolete M Pack but not for the Player Pack, which seems a little odd.

Sky channels have their own unique combination of flags in the SDT and the test channels did not have any of those flags on the last scan data.

It is odd that the old M pack is flagged, but not the newer Player pack.

Ahhh, so it looks like these tests aren't for any missing Sky channels. I think that there's only Sky Atlantic, Pick +1 and Sky One +1 missing now. Have I missed any wholly owned Sky channels? Wasn't there a travel and a poker channel too?

They wouldn't want to cannibalise their existing cable subscriber base, but as you say, could recoup some expenditure from offering it to non VM customers, especially in areas not served by cable.

Perhaps part of what will be delivered with Virgin TV Go next year, as announced in the price increase notifications.

It's possible they're confusing it with the Virgin Media Store - that's TV related but anyone can use the web player and mobile apps.

Could be Ben, sounds more like it tbh i looked at the store and had options to buy from there and i'm not a vm customer so what you just said probably is what my source was refering too.

Insight tv to launch on vm as a UHD channel in 2018, no exact date given at this time.

Also possibly Funbox (taken from the UHD thread):

Looks like I was right about this channel. The OFCOM data has now been updated:

Talking of the VM Store, channel 100 has been renamed Sky One Night.

It has a Red Button for the VM Store, so presumably its main purpose is to promote this.

I'm not so sure though.

When Sky start their online only subscription next year VM will have to do something or risk losing more customers.

It would be cheaper to deliver their services that way instead of laying cables.

I once suggested to a VM employee that VM could offer their service in the same way as the OTT companies in non cabled areas, but was told that VM wish to offer a different alternative to other providers.

That would be good if they could, but they are not covering all of the country by any means. Therefore your suggestion made perfect sense.

Am I correct in thinking that Curzon Cinema was taken off VM (or was it Picturebox?)

If so, they don't seem to be doing so well as they're being taken off Freesat from 27/11/17.
