Perez wasnt the problem. it was the salary on offer and well Moyes or Wenger.. do i need to ask who you would rather play for.

tbh the Fellaini deal was indeed a joke. look around Europe and youll find many decent players better than Fellaini, box to box. Arsenal, Utd and Bayern showed interest in Lars Bender but he wasnt for sale BUT he has a release clause kicking in at the end of this season which is under 15m euros, a bargain. why could Utd wait? if there were players at Everton to be nabbed it was probably Baines, Barkley. How many decent LBs are around?

The Villa supporter?

I reckon if you get Davide Santon to a decent club you're laughing. He could play LM too. He's quick and has buckets of skill but probably will suit foreign football more than this. He'll likely end up at Milan.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Ozil hadn't even heard of Moyes before the United Job.

Bergkamp is scared of flying or Europe was on the cards. even that though isnt an excuse not to lift the CL by now :(

I will say though Arsene has allowed Fergie to win back to back titles in recent years. his mind has been elsewhere. it wouldnt have taken much further investment to knock Utd off the top.

Arsenal will probably need a RB soon. Theres no sign of Sagna signing a new deal, could be off at the end of the season.

it wont just be about strikers clicking when there are so many midfielders to handle. you have to have starters in the squad. it will be some achievement if Jose does it all though.

When the papers and "Experts" first started going on about Chelsea having too many players for the same position, specifically "Attacking midfielders" they assume we are buying them to keep others from doing so, as in the case of Willian. Just looking at Spurs and Arsenals squads I'd say they have at least the same amount of attacking options in that position, if not more. The same if you look at the overall total of midfielders each has. They all have a few that can play in various positions as well. Equally United and City could also probably match them. I'd say that the managers of all the clubs I've mentioned would be in the same position of keeping everyone happy.

but it is a Mata of player by player form at the time ;) No really, having the balancing act is what will make things happen. It will be interesting to monitor nonetheless. Arsenal do have more in midfield in you count those players that play either side of the CF.

Manchester United Reportedly on Brink of Signing Record £300m Nike Kit Deal

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...-nike-kit-deal
alot of comparison done in that piece but its just not as simplistic as that. i did however still post it because the numbers are extraordinary. btw its not as simple as that because Man Utds relationship with Nike is unique, theres a lot more in the deal than what is being reported so the 300m headline isnt so much out doing Arsenal alhough I cannot aruge Utds brand power is massive!

Player form has to play a big part of team selection. Mata started the season without a full pre-season behind him, and looked off the pace to be honest. Jose has the players to replace him so he used them. We're all only 8 league games in so far mate, and with all the cup games and internationals there's still at least 40-50+ to go. They'll all get their chance and play. We already have one out for the season so anything can happen. For getting picked by form you just need to look at Ramsey. Who'd have thought he'd be the one of the first names on the team sheet after the last couple of seasons! At the moment he seems undroppable, and even gets rested instead of being dropped! That boys come a long way and all credit to him for it.

yup. i think its evident now that the width in Theo and Ox is missed. still though its not a good enough excuse to warrant this crap. Wenger needs to be delivering seeing as he's so adamant this squad can win things.
