Yep I watched and wish I hadn't. It just doesn't seem to work with American Actors and being set in the USA. no idea why it needed remade to be honest.

i think that is more because the mass market in the US just won't watch a programme with UK actors , set over here.

I'm sure some after watching the US version will seek out the UK version but not as many

Is Michael Imperioli a decent guy to play Ray?

Explaining why he removed the ambiguity of the character's predicament, Appelbaum said: "With this mythological element to it, it's not just a cop show, and if he was ultimately just in a coma or it was all a dream, it felt a bit unsatisfying. So we made it a deeper mystery."
The ambiguity was a large part of the series' appeal...

didn't they understand that the whole point was "it wasn't just a cop show" or would that concept be too difficult for the average American to understand

It's just that they cannot believe that the average US viewer can actually think..

I'm guessing a 'cop' show in America needs to centre on either lots of explosions or catching terrorists.

Hopefully, this guy can play a better Gene Hunt than the other guy who was meant to play him.

If they are not careful, setting it in NY and the tweaks to the format you could end up with another New Amsterdam.

I really liked Life on Mars, what a great story. It looks like they're trying to slaughter it on purpose.
