Well, at least we can see that Biden is still showing signs of life. I wasn’t sure that he was actually responsive to stimulus. Where there’s life, there’s hope, although I’m not altogether sure what that hope is...

Probably not but that's what Biden was going for.

His whole approach since the nomination has been to avoid doing much of anything and let Trump do the talking. He rarely makes interventions and the campaign sometimes spends the day off. Some of this might be COVID and people have speculated it's because he is worse than they're letting on.

But this so so far worked for him. The polling has remained consistant: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...iden-6247.html

I think that's why the debate was such a risk for him because he couldn't hide and would have to come out and perform. In the event he didn't seem as bad as has been made out and if the debate was argued to a draw that suits him fine.

Still two more debates to go.

An informed source told CBS News' Norah O'Donnell the commission will spend the next 48 hours determining new guidelines and rules for the second debate. The organization is working on all possible solutions, but the source said that "we are going to be making changes."

At the top of the list is controlling the two candidates' microphones and their ability to interrupt one another and the moderator. The campaigns will be informed of the rules, but the source said the rules will not be subject to negotiation.

Bless...

I know you’re a huge Trump fan, and not a big fan of facts, but the Commission is independent, and was responding to all the complaints.

My God! They are both aliens!

Biden often pauses before he speaks, as he has had a stutter all his life.

When it comes to the "duck test", you pass summa c.m laude - you’re not fooling anyone but yourself... ;)

Not sure what and independent body, which has run the Presidential Debates for over 60 years, has to do with "woke media"?

*Douglas Adams - If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family Anatidae on our hands

What they need is a teacher as moderator.

They should learn from this. Put them both in a booth and only turn the microphones on when it is their turn to speak. Dim the light in the booth when the other is talking and turn it off altogether if they misbehave (eg by making dark signs and gestures) while the other is in full flow!
