Red Bull will quit F1 if they don't get a competitive engine in 2016.

Re: Formula 1 2015 Season thread
From what I heard, but I had only one ear on it, if they don't have one before the start of 2016 season they will pull out before the season starts. So that is 2 less teams, 4 drivers seeking seats, and £300m a year lost to the sport. Good riddance to whingers. Funny how whilst winning they had no complaints but now it is someone else winning they are whinging.

But with the story I've linked below that might change things as they could face a $19 billion fine, and yes I did type $19 billion. Quote:

Re: Formula 1 2015 Season thread
I think if Volkswagen move into F1 then they will pick Audi as their branding as it would be pointless going with Bugatti or Bentley etc as normal people would not rush out and buy 1 based on the sponsor.

Excellent News on both counts in my opinion.

Re: Formula 1 2015 Season thread
I'm pleased. I did hear whispers that Alonso was thinking about packing it in after that concussion injury this year. And to be honest, don't think many people would have blamed him for retiring. Just hope the McLaren cars are more competitive next season.
