Depends what you define as end product.. No matter who you buy and for what amount you pay.. They will never match Cristiano Ronaldo. I bet that is the problem there. Because the lad couldnt score 40 goals a season from Midfield he aint good enough. Nani and Carrick both get called crap by people who claim to be United supporters and I'd bet its simply because they are not Ronaldo.

I hope we don't get him. £3m for that? I thought it was good we'd just recouped £2m off Routledge then they go and blow it on crap.

So who would you buy.

The unwanted Man Utd twin. Simpson's useless and Enrique's out the door, so got to fill the gap.

Obviously a striker could come before that even but I have no idea who I'd buy for there.

You're so wrong there ;)

I actually like Carrick and we have had other good players during our time than just Ronaldo ;)

I wasn't expecting him to score 40 goals from midfield, what I was expecting him to do, was to get some of his crosses into the box or when he passed, the ball went to another Utd player. Stuff like that ;)

He was one of those players who could run with the ball, but you didn't have any confidence that anything was going to come of it. Just my opinion from watching him.

Anyway, like Denphone said earlier, we are just going to have to agree to disagree ;)

Having seen Routledge at Palace when he was younger I wouldn't pay 2p for him. Not really sure if he's improved that much over the years either.

Nah :( being so far away from Manchester means that there's no way of getting the loyalty points required to get a ticket.. no way I'll pay the ebay/scalp prices..

Will though find a nice bar and enjoy watching it with a bottle of wine..

You would have been alright, City haven't sold out their allocation...

Massive club lol

He's my OH's cousin - we don't rate him much either ;)

Went to the pre-season friendly at Anfield earlier with Valencia, Adams really didn't look match fit. At one point he seemed to have a coughing fit :erm:

When's he ever looked match fit, he reminds me of Jan Molby, great passer, very poor athlete.

Chelsea look like signing a very talented player called Romelu Lukaku who some have compared to Didier Drogba.

Chelsea are not making any sense what so ever. To start they know the Uefa fair play lark comes into play soon and they are still spending more than they bring in.

Secondly how many strikers can you have at one club without offloading any?

Surely Drogba, Kalou or Anelka will be looking to leave after this signing. The three of them will have a hard time finding a new club with their wage demands out of proportion and no club will be willing to pay a substantial transfer fee when two of them are over 30 and nearing the end of their career's.

Back onto this whole twitter thing. Its pretty clear the situation at Newcastle is they don't want anyone to know what is going on behind closed doors and sparking another fan protest. Other clubs want it banned in fear of possible sanctions of the Premierleague (Ryan Babel incident) (Rooney Incident)

The fact is there is no use in banning Barton because he is just going to reveal all when he transfers out.
