Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

I've not had any problems with fatty foods and haven't noticed any change in my digestive system at all since my operation.

What she does before though is have a Gaviston sachet which does help.

To top it off my sister might have a gallstone, which doesn't help the week you start a new job.

Good tip on the Gaviston Hom3r I will keep that in mind if I need a operation.
Sending your sister my best wishes and lets hope it's not gallstones I know I am.

If I need a operation Osem I hope I'm like as I'm bad enough with the illness that I have where tummy problems/certain foods are concerned.

l was told once l had my gall bladder operation to just stick to a balanced diet and that's what l try to stick to but occasionally l have the odd fried meal but the key is not to have it all the time in my book.

The thing is that it's possible that gall bladder problems (if you indeed have them) have been the cause of (or contributed to) some of your existing digestion problems. If this is the source of your pain, taking it out might actually alleviate some of the other symptoms I'd have thought. I my case I had gall stones (actually a sludge rather than stones) but my gall bladder had become badly infected and that's something else which is far more serious.

Anyway these will be questions you'll want to ask the quacks in time. Just don't hang around for ages waiting if you're really suffering in pain. If I hadn't taken myself off to A&E when I did I'd likely have wound up with pancreatitis. Only you know how bad you feel. :tu:

I always advise against having fry ups in books, you can't easily read them afterwards.. ;)

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8

My mother's been in hospital for the past three weeks after being found collapsed in her house. We thought she was improving and would be able to come out soon but today she was found out of it sitting in a chair. A stroke was suspected but after tests it seems not.

The prognosis is not good as her heart is also weak. :( My older sister is keeping us posted.

Because she's been suffering from dementure which seems to have got worse quickly I've been prepared for the inevitable final result but had hoped to have her for a little longer.

Thank you for your thoughts Den and Weenie.

My sister lives near me so we might have to dash down to the West country at short notice.

Commiserations there mate, it sounds awful. Mind you we were told my old man probably wouldn't make last Christmas and he's still with us. All we can hope is that whatever time they have left, their quality of life is bearable.

My moan is that i rely on being able to use the live traffic cameras on the bbc travel site to check my journey to work, but everytime there is a delay of some kind they switch the bloody things off so i cant evaluate just how bad it is to decide whether to find an alternative route.
