My HTC one apparently isn't supported! Unbelievable, surely not only the Google edition is supported? I'll have to hope the tbc Kindle Fire HD is c'd then!

Loyalty isn't worth anything these days and so price is the rule as far as I am concerned. So now taken the plunge and taken to Sky (Sky World HD). I am now getting all those Sky chanels most on here are so eager to get, retaining the 120 meg BB (only other local otion is 2.5 to 4 meg adsl) and saving £11/month. Will miss some of the TIVO attributes but at the end of the day they are not worth the £132 a year extra.

As for 12 months time will look again to who can give the best deal based on the services I require.

This happened last year, one phonecall to retentions and my bill came back down to lower than I was paying before the price rise.

---------- Post added at 08:56 ---------- Previous post was at 08:53 ----------

The one thing that Sky has that I can't get is Game Of Thrones, with all the recent additions to VM I wouldn't personally go to Sky. With Netflix I am a happy customer, anything else I can pick up on Blinkbox.( that is an app, I would like to see on VM).

The way to go reap the benefits to the consumer of competition, all customers should do it, it's the only way to put downward pressure on prices.

I'm doing same, just waiting for letter then I will ring up and cancel TV.urge others to do the same and regards loyalty sadly old loyalty means nothing to new owners this 6 months Netflix non offer proves that :(

Agreed. It really can't be stated enough that, given that you get a month free anyway, 6 months free Netflix is less than £30 value. Better than nothing but across the length of a minimum term contract with a tv provider it really shouldn't be enough to inform a decision to stay or go.

That said I did well by phoning retentions after the last pay rise and I'll be giving them the opportunity to keep me again when this one is announced.

I'm not interested in BT Sport, I am only on XL for HD. If the rumours about HD moving down to L arn't true then I will probably look into moving to Sky again. £7.50 is a big difference even catering for Sky putting prices up.

aye but remember additional boxes on sky are much more expensive than on VM this balances things up a tad i find

Depends which box you get - an additional TiVo is £11.50 (barring any bundle inclusion for an additional box)

Hi,I would have thought if the sky channels were coming to virgin they would be advertising it at the beginning of Dec.something along the lines of "here is our fantastic Xmas present to you"/"here is what you have been wanting for your Xmas ". personally the only one I want is universal HD. as mentioned before if you are knowledgeable you can find most shows on the net.or legally through/netfix/love film or just buy the HBO shows with box set DVDs new or second hand through eBay/amazon. Price rises are just a fact of life and obviously you can just move if you are not happy.cheers john

I don't pay a fee for my second box, not in a bundle either.
