A generic 3ft bend to shape heater bar rated 750W to hopefully repair the worktop grill oven unit. £11 delivered tomorrow so if it's no good for the job I won't have wasted much.

We'll see. I've been sketchng out bend patterns on squared paper using a scale length piece of copper wire so I know where to make the bends and not run out of element.

I did find some quartz elements that would have been ideal: right length, voltage and power, but they would have shipped from Hong Kong and I doubt they would have arrived whole. Cheap as chips so if my plan fails I'll risk ordering them.
