Cable Forum - Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. II

Channel One, which is available on Freeview, Virgin Media and Sky as a free-to-air service, will relaunch on Friday 3 September backed by a bolstered schedule and a marketing campaign.

The channel will be broadcasting the recent remake of 1980s alien invasion series V, first seen in the UK earlier this year on SyFy.

If someone is on the vip package with 20mb does it include the hd channels on BOTH V+ boxes?

If Sky are re-branding a Previously owned Virgin Media channel on Friday 3rd September, then I would be very suprised if we do not get the sky Basic channels the same day, or at least Sky One HD.

It's a two-way deal. We shall wait and see.

I would say the Comedy Central HD story is true, as the channel listing on VM from Electric Magazine's August issue lists Comedy Central HD

I guess it will be a while until we get Sky 1 HD as that is listed in the press release but they haven't announced a date. I was hoping to watch Karl Pilkington in "An Idiot Abroad" in HD which starts this month:(

If you read the press release it says that with Sky1 HD, Sky Arts HD and now Comedy Central HD Virgin Media will have over 30 channels. With Sky News and SS news this would mean we have 31 channels.

Of course the other 2 channels could be anything.

Here's a random question now for the future.
Would it be possible to have both SD and HD variant of a Channel on one number.
e.g. ITV1 HD and ITV1 on 103.

Yes, but all the STB's would have to be either V-HD or V+HD

Ah, so this won't be possible then:
The V Samsung Box shows ITV1, whereas the V+ HD box shows ITV1 HD.
