Strange how this has seemed to be forgotten about in the media. Also how they've reported what Gerrard did as a shame to end his last game against United. Deliberately stamping on a player should get more than a 3 game ban imo. The people commending him for coming out after the game and giving interviews probably didn't realise that the one person he didn't say sorry to was the player he deliberately tried to hurt...but "Stevie" the medias sweetheart can get away with it I suppose.

Just imagine Rooney had stamped on 'Stevie' - he'd be hung, drawn and quartered by the media.

Good, I'm hoping for a 5 match ban. Going after a player's ankle can end a man's career. Never mind people in the crowd holding Balotelli back, I was impressed by De Gea's restraint. A nasty attack from a nasty player.

To be fair this is the only time I've seen Skrtel do something blatant and deny it. De Gea is fine. He's hardly Roy Keane. There are far nastier players put there. Our own Alan Shearer couldn't jump for a header without deliberately elbowing someone. Better yet, ask Niel Lennon how his chin is.

I still cringe when I remember the way Andy Carroll committed violent GBH on De Gea and completely got away with, horrendous challenge. it probably helped to toughen him up.

And what about the career ending tackle by Ashley Barnes on Matic which to me was worthy of a 5 match ban and yet the FA did sod all.

Does look like a freight train hitting a deer, slower look and I'm not 100% sure, any opinions on Vidic actually sending Carroll flying? If you watch carefully it does look like Vidic barges him mid jump but can't really tell if there's actually contact.

Poxy England band do my head in, I don't know of a single person that likes them yet we still have to put up with their endless renditions of Rule Britannia and the Great Escape regardless :mad:

They almost got banned for playing IRA related songs against Ireland didn't they? Shame they didn't go though with it. They really do ruin the atmosphere, it's forever the great escape or general drumming.
