Speaking of 5HD... ashamedly I sometimes watch Big Brother (oops) and the quality of HD on the programme is bloody awful... really grainy sometimes...

I don't think bb is actually HD. Only the live eviction shows.

Its flagged as HD on Sky EPG not sure whether TIVO flags it as HD , usually on C5 it's HD if the DOG has HD after it , I can't say if this is the case with BB as I don't watch it :D , DF is your man here :D

If I remember rightly the reason some HD channels have audio sync problems is because the video stream takes a lot longer to encode than the audio stream, so the audio has to be delayed to get the timing right. That's the problem BBC HD had for a while (not getting the right delay) when it started.

This is just a press release from the UKTV deal and confirmation of the channels that are launching in October on Virgin from that deal.

Why don't you just SHUT UP and stop asking the same questions every flaming day, it's getting so boring, if you want more HD channels then there is a simple answer go and join SKY TV, maybe then we would get some piece and quite, and alow this thread to return to normal and let Media Boy do his work.

No. But I'm happy with eden hd, as it's one of the few channels where it actually makes a difference, and I'm looking forward, patiently, to Sky anytime plus. Factor in tivo and I reckon it's been a good year for Virgin.
