Sorry, Carl, it was my attempt at humour.

Two days with TiVo - loving it!

Tivo installed and recording now for 24 hours...

Install 8/10 - went well - Engineer wanted to leave quickly and showed me nothing...he'd only just had his training himself...waved the manual and left...no problem I've been on here for the last few weeks.

Picture 10/10 - no problem here - in SD or HD - SD quality appears to vary per channel but that was the same with my V+

Catch-up 2/10 - viewing catch-up from the EPG does not work...most selections only take me to catch-up search and others with Watch option give error message 6143/NAV84181

Suggestions ?/10 - Thumbed up / down for last 24 hours but 'Mr Tivo' has not made/recorded one suggestion yet...how long does this take ?

Features 10/10 - Wishlists are a big hit - even the wife wanted to set some up...phew...she's not seen the bill yet!

Reminders - 100/10 - glad they've gone - I was always setting them by mistake on my V+

Very happy - Thanks for all your posts over the last few weeks - kept me going while waiting for 'Tivo day'

Do not worry the reminders are coming back at some point.

You might be glad reminders are not there but l am not as they are very useful to set programmes you want to watch live in the days ahead.

When I watch a program through the bbc iplayer app it cuts off before the very end, I then have to go back into it and skip to the end to watch the last bit. This is usually around the last minute of the program. Has anyone else experienced this?

"What'chu talkin' about, Willis?

The world don't move to the beat of just one drum,What might be right for you, may not be right for some." :)

Still waiting for my first suggestion to be recorded...any idea how long this normally takes ?

As it happens I am also at my parents home but if I was at my own place I would also be recording it so that the Tivo wouldn't attempt to change the tuner at all when three things at once are recording later this afternoon.

So, to clarify, I have never ever said not to watch anything "live" or "at leisure" :( My point was record everything anyway.

Please! Don't start that debate all over again.

Firstly, if people don't bring it up, I won't. (Especially if they misrepresent my position.) Secondly, turns out the OP was trying to be funny. I told him to try harder ;):p::D

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

If the Tivo is using all three tuners and at least one of them is half way through a suggestion. And you decided to record something, would it automatically cancel that suggestion and delete it?
