Besides. Oldham Athletic beat them 3-0 at OT that season, can't see that happening any time soon.:p:

They should have hired Joe Kinnear instead. He'd get the best out of Ninja Shagawa and Van Persil. Then he could've hired Harry Redknapp as assistant and brought in Dennis Wise as director of football.

Kagawa is going back to Dortmund. Man Utd havent got a clue, i doubt they even knew what type of player they were buying apart from knowing he was voted the best player in Germany.

i agree Fergie has shown a masterclass in getting out of a sticky situation, Utds debt and all by winning but Arsenal had major success post 2005, 01-05. Arsenal should have won the league by now but hey the average Arsenal 1st team wage is £70k a week, thats 31st highest for all sport clubs in the world right now. Man City are highest average payers in world sport, just ahead of LA Dodgers. Chelsea have not outperformed their spend any year since 2000. If you ignore agents fees then Arsenes net transfer spend in 17 years is estimated to be around £23m, + estimated 80m fees on signings (agents, signing on fees etc.) and thats around 100m net. Fergies total net around 226m, spent 546m, received 320m. Total on wages since 2000, Chelsea £1.508bn, Manchester United £1.221bn, Arsenal £1.055bn, Liverpool £1.007bn, Manchester City £845m, Spurs £619m. Tottenham have spent around 100 million more than Arsenal in last 12 years.

most importantly though Arsenal hasnt had starter stability since the invincibles. you have to have starters in the team for stability. Utd have had that.

Like Park Ji-Sung he was bought purely to tap in to the Asian market.

no way Russ. Park Ji-Sung turned out to be a secret weapon. Dong i dont know but Kagawa is an actual talent. Arsenal 'apparently' done similar when signing Park Chu-Young to get momentum behind the push in Asia.

btw Klopp has today sung the praises of Arsenal in his press conference. Although Klopp did once rule out moving away from Dortmund journos have squeezed him and got "Don't know where, don't know when" on moving to England to manage. the guy can sit tight at Dortmund for now. he can replace Wenger when he retires :D

I can have them if you pay me! freeloader ;)

like i said though, we should have won the title by now. Wenger wants to go back to the invincibles, having starters and developing, i dont totally agree but hey since 05 funnily enough 05 - 07 were both flops for performances on the field because too many changes were made. in 07/08 Arsenal were 4pts off Utd who won the league with 87pts.
