that's no make up for losing channels most customers want

We have yet to confirm Dave that any channels have been lost.... but agree sesame street is not a great gain!

No Atlantic
No BT Sport
And importantly no reduction in cost of the XL Package. They are utterly hopeless in Business, want it all for nothing and won't hear of taking a hit on their own profits!

I've maintained someone (From Liberty maybe) needs to go into the company and clear out the dead wood.

I don't think that they are useless at business. If they paid what Sky and BT asked for just to keep some of their customers happy, they would be out of business in 5 minutes. You would soon be moaning if the price went up just to get the few channels that you want. There is no proof what so ever that Virgin media are trying to get them on the cheap, they have to think what is best for their customers as a whole not just the ones that want certain channels. I am sure they will get it once they feel the deal they are being offered is fair and best for the customers.

BT confirm they've yet to do a deal with Virgin Media to carry BT Sport: "We are open to doing it at the right price and talks continue".

That's a little harsh in my opinion , Sky who have plenty of leverage with its wide range of channels haven't managed to negotiate a wholesale deal with BT its only available on their platform due to the fact its an open one and any channel can join. Who's the company which has complained and complained to OFCOM about Sky Sports availability/pricing and yet the only way you can obtain their sports channel is through them and not on every platform.

Of course they'll put out statements like that! They want to increase pressure on VM to get a better deal for themselves. But BT sport need VM subs!
