Actually apart from today, here in Winnersh the email's been pretty good all year.

Mind you the blessing in disguise it that the spam is taking longer to get through now too.

SMTP Stuffed here - very annoying

/edit After some fiddling it turns out SMTP works, but the server hangs up the POP connection causing Outlook to give up without sending.

Yep - my eye on ntl-mail has been informing me of timeouts for large parts of this morning. :(

I get authentication errors.

Nothing unusual you might say as ntl has these problems daily, but this time I have had it for the last 24 hours.

after 29 hours my email is accessible but an email I sent on tuesday to myself has still to arrive so my usual 2 day wait has now been increased.

Problems here in Hove. Can't send an email with a 600k attachment. I'm on 600k so it shouldn't be a problem. It's intermittently like this for a week or two. What have NTL done that's led to this degradation of service?

there are no email issues, listed on the server status page, at present - what error message do you get?

LOL - I would imagine the mail servers are rather quiet atm - most ppl are out enjoying the weather

I feel rather geeky now :D
