Obviously Newcastle would then go on to put in a performance following that rant.

Fair play though. Poor Liverpool performance. But odd seeing Newcastle go forward.

Sad to hear of his passing as he was a real character in the game.:(

Well done as Southampton deserved it.:tu:

No retaining the title this season for us as sadly IMO the die was cast in September last year and made even worse not much later.

Thanks Den.

The injuries to your back line have been disastrous.

Watching Henderson play at centre back is woeful.

Is a January purchase on the cards?

The trouble with January purchases is can they fit into the team straight away, two how many decent quality centre backs are actually available this time of year, and three will they sign knowing they will not be first team regulars when we have our best defence available next season.

Yes Henderson and Fabinho we are deeply missing in their midfield roles that is for sure as its great that Curtis Jones has been given some matches but experience counts for quite a bit when there are sometimes some very fine balances during football matches.

Liverpool still had ‘the best forward line in the world’. A top class keeper, both first choice fullbacks and plenty of very good midfielders. ;)

Just imagine yourself without Dolly and Daisy and you might think differently.:p:

Saints had Sean Long and a bunch of academy graduates on the bench due to their missing players. I would back Axel Tuanzebe, Marcos Rojo or even Phil Jones to perform better than your central pair last night.

Liverpool didn’t lose because of your central defenders.

l never said they lost because of our missing central defenders last night as the point l am making is over a season the loss of our top centre backs will cost us quite a few points as it would any team including your own.

Henderson and Fabinho are not centre backs as you well know..

Southampton made Premier League history on Tuesday as they became the first team to beat all seven winners of the competition in the season after they lifted the crown. :D
