Could start with the captain, 'little boy lost'... Give it to Anderson.

Arrogant and over confident. Out batted, out bowled, out fielded, out captained, and out thought from the team selection on day one of the first test to the sad denouement today.

Root is a fine batsman but why oh why do England pick people as captains just because they fit their idea as a captain rather then pick someone with a shrewd tactical brain.

Yes never understood making the best player Captain. Look as the disasters Botham and Pietersen were. Mike Brearley was a mediocre batsman but excellent captain.

A bit late in the day but England find a bowler who can hit over 90mph.

The selectors should drop themselves after this series.

Don't forget it was also the coach and some of the players that were culpable as well.

Whoever organised or agreed to the schedule is most culpable IMHO. Start with only three tests with zero preparation followed by five ODI’s and three T20’s.

Looking at the crowds though perhaps the Windies don’t warrant or deserve a full five test series anyway.

But this has been happening for quite a while now and thus so far diddly squat has been done about it.

Jason Roy still in the debit column but going a long way to making amends for dropping Gayle on 9.

Well Roy scored 123 of the 124 runs he gifted Chris Gayle, England on course for their record run chase score.
