I am using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Any ideas?

Dump Adobe Reader and use Foxit instead ..... ;)

Or, you could try saving the PDF first and then try to open it?

Or Sumatra. Or basically any number of open, free PDF readers.

Hang on a sec, is this just some re-branded generic Chinese modem and they've dumped netgear?

What makes you think they've dropped Netgear? Nobody knows on Virginmedia and the company making it

It's not up to virgin to pick a maker it's up to liberty global now - http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...2911955#M12680

All signs point to COMPAL unless the UK stay with netgear

http://www.icbn.com.tw/category1s/category1_lists_en shows some of the catalogue. Cant say i'm much of fan of generic unheard of stuff but will see what shows up in a few weeks. Netgear couldnt even fix the voip issues with the superhub maybe these will do a better job.

As to which manufacturer of the new modem/router - people need to clear their minds and remember that Virgin Media works with established names.

The Virgin Media logo on the one further up the page.

The last 4 hubs have been made by netgear, I'm going to go ahead and guess that the next one will be made by netgear as well.
The last 4 hubs weren't shared by Liberty Global.

So Acer, Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba, HP and Fujitsu are "generic unheard of stuff" to you then?

Indeed.

I remember someone, long ago, protesting at NTL's use of Ambit modems whilst proudly displaying a long list of Apple, Sony and Microsoft kit in their sig...

Compal or Arris.

FYI, as far as cable modems go Netgear are far closer to 'generic unheard of stuff' than Compal. We don't hear about these companies as we can't buy our own kit and attach it to the cable network.

Either way the UK isn't staying with Netgear. The ideal would be a common CPE and, indeed, CMTS platform, for the entire LG family.

It does make a lot more sense to standardise the kit. It makes sense from a support and training perspective, as well as from an economic perspective - economies of scale from buying devices in the 10's of millions.
