Well that does remain to be seen but again it is Sky using its formidable financial resources to restrict content and certain channels to just its own platform.:td:

And worse it is because it as some of the shows it shows now are awful and that's a understatement to say the least.

This year it's just going to be a best-of ITV channel so it's not going to set the world alight but ITV has had a few drama successes of late so these should do ok.
Next year will be interesting when it starts to be the home of new ITV content.

Virgin really do need to up their game with on demand as it is now very poor in comparison to sky`s.

If they arrive I think its more to do with brand and perception , BT Sports arrived on VM and is inclusive with XL including all channels in HD , Sky's probably realised that they can no longer expect people to fork out huge amounts while limiting the available HD channels especially when its main sporting competitor offers its full suite of channels , wonder whether this deal could see the addition of Sky Sports channels on TV anywhere mobile/tablet devices ?

I'm sure the big dramas will still be available on ITV Den cant see them abandoning the FTA market personally.

I think in the first 12 months, ITV Encore will show repeats from ITV which will subsequently be shown on ITV3. After that, I imagine some dramas will go ITV-ITV Encore-ITV3 and others ITV Encore-ITV-ITV3.

Sirius has been posting again on Digitalspy

"I've now seen limited EPG data for Sky Sports 4 and F1 to finalise things.

There's speculation on another forum naming other channels but the reality is, as with the BT Sport tests I mentioned, the channels have to be important enough for the information to be embargoed. That can only Sky or BT in this market. Nobody really cares if (for example) C&I HD is seen testing and it is leaked ahead of launch."

After the premier league season has ended when $ly sports subscriptions usually dwindle.

It will be about time for Virgin subscribers to have these available, imagine the golf majors or US open tennis that sometimes get pushed on to sky sports 3 or 4 or F1 racing, finally being able to watch them in glorious HD, which does make an enormous difference. :)

Only three channels testing, people are thinking sky sports HD 3-4 f1 my question is why would they leave the news channel in SD?

Because it's part of Sky basics which forms part of a separate VM-Sky contract which renews at a different time.
