Thought i'd give vista another go now SP1 is out...speeded it up quite abit (for me)...aero is now smooth with nvidia drivers as well, so im quite impressed thus far...had a few problems at first though.

http://www.beryl-project.org/ - I got it working in Ubuntu - seemed reasonably easy. You will need 3D running on your Gfx card.

http://www.compiz-fusion.org/ - not sure if this is up and running. You can have a look at them both running in YouTube, see if this is what you are after.

On the right hand side? - That's a Vista gadget called Game monitor.

Just tells you how many people are on a specific server (Up to 4 servers) You can put loads of different games in as well not just COD4

Decided to install leopard on my old AMD setup yesterday, quiet impressed with the speed, alot better than the crap OS called vista ;)

Adium is the best im client i've ever used.

how do people change there windows icons?

most of the times they will find the icon they want to change it to and then:

right click the icon you want to change

select properties

then there should be a option to change the icon click that

then you find where you saved the replacement icon to and then, choose that click apply and hey presto icon changed. that is in most circumstances

other times if you download a theme sometimes that will have different icons for things.
