No need to be gutted as we got a free game with it too, obviously we could wait another year and save another £50 too with a possible redesign or hard disk size increase, but then you end up waiting for ever for the next best thing and never having what you want.

Question on DR3 I've been running around collecting stuff, (and killing zombies of course :D ) and realised that time was running out.

Question if I complete the game (and stop the nutter bombing, i guess no spoilers please) can I still kill zombies without worrying about running out of mission time

I hope they do fix it. It's caused by the exact same thing: 50Hz content being output at 60Hz, causing judder.

Ok so just to let you guys know i also posted the below on the forums as well. Some else has agreed and will keep you updated

Quote:

Is it possible you can make the Xbox One pass through the HDMI signal while the console is off as well as on? When i say off i mean in "Instant on' Mode. I say this as i like the thought of having Sky connected via Xbox One and i used like this on launch but when i get up in a morning and ready for work its just not feesable to turn console on just to watch TV for a few mins. My AMP has pass through while its on standby so surely can happen on Xbox One. Of course i understand that if the console is off conpletely then it wont work but surely its possible with instant on mode

I also joined the Ambassador thing last week. I have now hooked up my Sky Box to it after enabling 50Hz and there is no judder. I have it on Sky Sports News HD

The bitstream doesn't do what I wanted it do so left it on Uncompressed

We'll bitstream option has 2 option which are Dolby Digital and DTS which is fine for the headphones but I wanted bitstreaming to be able to send audio from Blu Ray disks to the AMP and let the amp decode it so I get the lights on the AMP (DTS HD MSTER) etc but it doesn't seem to do that as it seems it's normal DTS as the light stay as just DTS so I've had to change the setting back to 5.1 uncompressed

It is not Microsofts fault you deleted the message. lol

As long as you didn't unregister, if you did delete the code for the beta invite then try contacting support and get them to resend the message.

Ah, right, that sounds a bit crap, then. I hope you're giving this as feedback to MS!

So when outputting the DTS/Dolby bitstream over HDMI it's not outputting DTS/Dolby HD, just normal DTS/Dolby?

Also, can you select Dolby *and* DTS? Or is it one *or* the other?

If I'm to use my Xbox One for media instead of my PS3, I want it to be able to output both without me changing it each time depending on what the disc is encoded with.

On the PS3 (and I'm sure also the 360), it can output both Dolby and DTS without you having to pick one *or* the other - no need to switch formats each time you play a DVD/BD that uses the other one. Disc that uses Dolby? It will output Dolby. Disc that uses DTS? It will output DTS.

There was nothing saying I was deleting. I open up a message, and the most obvious button to touch, deletes the message. Sorry, that is microsoft's fault, puzzled you would think otherwise.

On my Xbox there is a delete button on the left of the message, it would be better to give a confirmation box though before it is actually deleted.

Have you not contacted ms about it on their forums like other people have?

This is annoying i just can't tell if it has changed anything on my TV or not as i still have to keep Film Mode Auto 1 switched off on my TV or i get some panning judder through the V+, i have nothing else to test so disappointed i have to yet again keep this setting turned off.

On some TV's you can check the input details like mine TV for example is an LG and if i use the LG TV remote and press ok it tells me the resolution and the refresh rate

Well, I'm disappointed with two things I had been looking forward to:

- Dolby Digital, for the reasons mentioned previously (e.g. not being able to have both Dolby *and* DTS enabled for DVDs/BDs).

- 50Hz support... I had hoped it would also be added for DVDs, given they suffer the exact same issue, but it's only for the TV.

I've started threads about both in the Preview forums (one each in the feedback forum and feature request forum).

Yes, from launch.. but because of poor 24Hz support, rather than anything to do with 50Hz.

It was better last time I tested, but still not perfect (i.e. still not as good as the PS3).

50Hz for DVDs, perfect 24Hz for BDs, and proper Dolby support are the main things I need before I can start using my Xbox One for media and retire my PS3.

[Pull-DLNA used to be on that list too, but now I have a Smart TV I don't need a console for that]

How did you guys get the beta update? I know MS were 'randomly' selecting people but it seems you all got access!

I'm really sick of the black screen of death after playing games - I get it almost 90% of the time and I'm really bored of hard resetting my console. I would really like to get this update as early as I can...

I don't know about the others, but I joined the Community Ambassador programme and then used that to gain entry (the Ambassador forums have a thread where you stick your name down to get an invite).

I got randomly selected. I thought it was to do with the fact I was a day one adopter

I beta tested all the 360 Dash previews so presume I was included due to that, I did put my mates gamer tags in to the forum last week and they've all been accepted!

I think people that are in the X1 beta program can put forward other users, so if you want a possible invite from MS then send me your gamertag. :)

I wish i could remember how to do this though, as i can't the for life of me find that option now!

edit it is done via the xbox forum so can do it if you're on my friends list.

I thought so too but i sent an invite to the gamertag at the bottom of your post as i couldn't find you.

Just checked again and you're not on there.

If you want adding now you need to accept the friend invite as i will be away from the computer and you're currently coming up as pending still. :)

It looks like the controller update may have been to do with the headset.

http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-o...eadset-adapter

When I bought my X1 I installed the Blu-Ray app, and watched a film, and I have never seen any juddering and I haven't changed any seyying and I do watch it on a 22" 1080p HDTV.

What about TV through the X1?

The latest fix has made it perfect now although it has to be re enabled after every update.

You must have just not noticed it, or the film you were watching didn't have a lot of panning shots or fast action.

Watching a Blu-ray film at 60Hz causes juddering, because the standard rate for film is 24fps. This happens whatever Blu-ray player you use: If you watch a BD film at 60Hz it will have judder, that's why 24Hz / 24fps mode exists.

Watching a Blu-ray at 24Hz should not cause juddering, as it's playing at the correct rate for film...but the Xbox One's Blu-ray player app had serious issues with 24Hz mode, leading to it still suffer juddering anyway (along with audio sync problems).

It has been improved since launch, via app updates and console updates, but is still not as good as the Blu-ray playback on a PS3.

DVDs suffer from judder due to a similar issue: PAL DVDs are meant to be played at 50Hz, yet the Xbox One forces them to 60Hz, causing judder...

Yep , had this happen also , what's the point of a battery indicator if you still get no warning when the controller is going to die !!!

With Titanfall due to land in a couple of weeks, I'm after some 'friends' on my xbox live. Currently I have 2 - my wife and SnoopZ :)

If your planning on getting the game or indeed just want to help a lonely soul out then feel free to add me...

Thanks.
