A handy little utility that I keep on a floppy in my toolbox.

Whilst not a piece of freeware there is a site that I keep on my desktop http://www.all-nettools.com/tools1.htm

Hi

This is a nice piece of freeware, it examines your machine and reports any security or cosmetic fixes that are available and downloads them. Saves you the trouble of going to windows update, and even catches some fixes that windows update does not report.

You'll find all the freeware you need here , but just in case here's two more:

Opera browser

and

A2 (a squared) Trojan killer

I swear by Window Sizer:

http://www.voidnish.com/articles/Sho...de=windowsizer

Tiny, simple and yet indispensable for me, writing intranet pages for a business still riddled with 800x600 res monitors, while I enjoy a whopping 1280x1024. All it does is to re-size the active window on your screen to the dimensions you specify. But it saves me a lot of hassle switching my own screen res.
