You get cheaper insurance?
Diamond are a rip off, their quotes were £300 more for my Mrs than even the AA £300 they wanted £650 to insure her fully comp on a 1.0 fiat Uno yet I paid £300 to be insured fully comp on a 1.8 Vectra.
She has more no claims than me, has been driving longer and had no accidents.

I have clocked up a lot of miles in almost 19 years of driving, I have had one insurance claim which was made in the first five years of that. My car was stationary at a junction at the time, the post office lorry (also stationary) in the right lane decided he wanted to go left. Cant get much slower than that.

One other accident I have had while driving it was wet and I could not quite stop in time, the cars tow ball in front of me slight fractured my front bumper. No claim was made from either party.

During all the miles I have done I have seen as many women as men do very stupid things that are a danger to themselves and others.

Insurance should be based on personal performance more than what you have between your legs and what chromosones you have, firms like diamond should be screwed into the EU courts for discrimination.

Agree, lorry drivers pay more (regardless of gender). I get most angry about the fact that a large percentage of my premium is to cover the scrotes who have no insurance. Haven't claimed on my insurance in over 20 years (and I do not/nor have ever driven whist talking on a mobile or doing anything for my appearance).

Oh that's ok then!! She was having a 'blonde moment', 'all her friends do it' and she "can't see what the fuss is about"!!

Perhaps a drink driver (which she also is) could try that reaction next time?

It's a shame she couldn't be banned for life for having such a flippant attitude to driving.

Maddock said she had decided it was "glam time" when she hit a quiet section of road on the 90-minute drive to her lover's house.
Fine. So she wouldn't have had any trouble pulling over and stopping to apply her make up?

Pity she won't have to resit her test when she finishes that ban.

Not post office lorry drivers, they pay nothing as the firm is self insured, getting to that insurance is another story and practically impossible for a regular Joe who has a family to look after and work to do. Its about the only time I have been legally shafted because time was more money than the damages despite them being in the thousands.
