Well, I'm against the war in iraq and people I've talked to think america has lost the plot.

Personally I would define 'mass' as anything over 1,000.

How many people need to disagree before it becomes controversial?

I vote Labour (boo hiss) but I also hate the Guardian, the Daily Mail and every single tabloid (especially that bloody Mirror!) out there. If I want a comic I'll buy Cosmo/Hello :dozey:

1,000 as a percentage of the population is nothing though is it??

What bugs me is the protesters that come on the telly and tell the whole world that the UK is up in arms about Mr Bush coming here, and he is unwelcome.

How dare they speak for me or anyone else out there that think that he should be treated with the utmost respect, just as we would any other visiting dignitary.

These people have a real nerve. :mad:

That's in terms of protest, a much smaller % of people actually protest even if they share the same opinion.
10 people protesting doesn't say much, but 1,000.

Off the top of my head? I have no idea. I guess it would depend what the topic of discussion was. I'll have to give it some thought.

Except for the fact that, as with the fuel protests and other anti-war or anti-government protests, the "official" figures seem to fall well short of practically *everyone else's* estimates, and that's not just the organisers, but also those of news organisations etc.

Now whilst the organisers may be more than tempted to over-estimate a bit, a factor of 5 seems a rather large difference between what they claim and what the police claim!
