I use an NTL 250 modem and a Netgear wirless router (dont know what model)

Since NTL dont do static addresses I use http://www.dyndns.com/ to keep a constant DNS name even tho the IP address may change. This would be set on the Router.

Ive had it working since late August without issue.

Just a point.

Have you tried lowering the colours to 256
