ntls redundancy for those that joined before 2002 is very good. I don't think a union could get a better deal if they tried!

What can I say Bill, I'm gutted:shocked:

After all you've done for everyone here, both in outright help/advise/behind the scenes, you are going to be sorely missed, but hopefully, if you feel so inclined, you can keep us up to date on how you're doing in life:)

Redundancy isnt normally the nicest of news..... But it sounds as if you'll get a nice package. Any ideas on whats next?? Maybe a long needed holiday etc??? :D

Good luck, and speak soon! :)

Re: Redundant

Sorry Bill, but I think you should ask them to reconsider. I mean, can they afford to be losing experienced engineers in the North West given connection and email issues recently. I think you should refuse to go :D

Here's hoping you walk straight into another job and can blow your redundancy package!

Thanks to every one for the nice remarks.

Yes its NTL's loss and i am over the moon with the package they have offered me.

I have my fingers in a few pies so watch this space :) and i will continue to post on here as i will be a customer of NTL. Even without my employee package.

They have not treated me badly and i wish those that remain a happy time with them.

I feel that making redundancys at christmas is out of order, it can ruin any christmas, (I alone spent around £1000 on christmas last year, food, drink, and pressies)

I was luck in that I was made redundant in the summer a week before my hols

With the redundnacy package that ntl people like Bill are receiving, I have no doubt it'll be one of the best Christmas' ever!

I've been keeping my news on the employee forum, but I too have been made redundant. :D:D:D:D I can tell you now, I'm as happy as Bill is too!!! :cleader:
And yes, it will be a good Xmas :D

And for you as well. Seems Ntl is getting rid of some of it's best assets more fool them.

Thing is, they don't look at employees as assets, just costs.... I costs more than the guys that work for me, so they want to cut that costs. Suits me! :D:D

Re: Redundant

Good luck to you both!

NTL are idiots, probably why they chose you for redundancy as intellectually they can't take the competition. :D

A blow for the customers though. :(

Blimey, I've never seen people so happy at being made redundant... Congratulations I suppose... :tu:
