Dogster,

How did you get on, did the new 250 Modem fix your disconnection problems?

Cheers,

Chris.

The new modem seems to have done the trick.
Still testing it but so far so good.:)

I havent had a disconnection since the call to CS yesterday. Looks like they did something to the connection when I called them

NTL have to be the best ISP I have come across so far. Ive been with them for just over 4 years and that was the first ever call to them :)

I, too, have the same problem. Cable light goes off and then back on after a few mins. This has been happening since the beginning of the week. On the service status page it says the maintenance is only supposed to occur between midnight and 6am though, but I am getting those disconnections during the day... (I liive in the Hemel Hempstead area)

Just called TS and they've booked an engineer for Saturday. I asked him if he was sure that the problem wasn't related to the recent maintenance but he's saying he can see there's a problem. I suppose I was "lucky" that the cable light was off when I called (but then it keeps going on and off every few mins now). I'm still not convinced; it is too much of a coincidence that the problem started occurring the exact week where heavy maintenance is being carried out (having said that I did have to move some cables around to retrieve a live mouse that somehow managed to escape my cat's paws but this is another story... and I checked all the cables anyway ;-))
