Hi there,
just though tI'd update people on this network printing question i had asked a while ago.
It turned out my Windows 98SE had got so messed up it was clearly missing a few files or something.
I reformatted everything and started all over again and now it prints perfectly.

It also installed the correct files off the 98 disc when I selected print sharing, which it hadnt done before so now all is good.
