Not totally sure of the actual sequencing but I think there’s enough room min the duct for both copper & fibre. The Fibre would be blown down the duct and the copper withdrawn when the fibre is working.

Other indicator is the small cabinet opposite the chamber lid. VM (including its predecessors) have always used ducting from cabinet to the property so bringing fibre to the home is very straightforward.

Always assuming that ducts haven't collapsed or haven't been invaded by tree roots.

Well, here in Winnersh, VM has been carrying out its fibre over-build.

My question is will I be able to retain the TV360 on the HFC? I'm not sure that there is VM alternative for multi-room TV with recording functionality on full fibre XGS-PON.

All the new customer TV offers are now Stream/Flex boxes by default. You can opt for V360 if you are in an area that supports it, but you now have to go through telesales & pay a £50 activation charge for the privilege. Don’t be surprised if an IPTV migration strategy soon starts similar to the ongoing one with TiVO/V6 to 360.

Thanks, Noddie. My underlying question was would the HFC cable be allowed to continue to provide the TV360 service as I know it?

I can only make the assumption that while you keep running DOCSIS kit you can still use the same coax for TV. If you decide to take a new package that is full fibre provided, your cabinet drop would be completely replaced with fibre, along with the Hub5x & Flex boxes.
