My reasoning is that, as recordings are lost with box changes and the 360 software change, if people are happy to move to the 360, they might as well try to get a new box anyway as it is likely to last longer before the HDD fails and their recordings are lost yet again. |

An old updated box could go on forever and a new box could have a disc failure within a few weeks. It's a gamble either way.
