It'll show as 3.1 bonded if you have it.

Easiest way is to check the network log. If you have a message like this:
Code:

US profile assignment change. US Chan ID: 6; Previous Profile: 13; New Profile: 11 13.;CM-MAC=;CMTS-MAC=;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
then there's a 3.1 upstream channel. Although this message doesn't always show frequently, so just because it's not there, doesn't mean you don't have one. Have seen that having 5 Docsis 3 upstreams, you generally have a 3.1 upstream available as well. At least that's how it rolled out here.

For the 3.1 downstream channel, it'll show a message like this:
Code:

CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 24; Chan ID: 159; DSID: N/A; MAC Addr: N/A; OFDM/OFDMA Profile ID: 3.;CM-MAC=;CMTS-MAC=;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
I had a Hub 4 before getting a Hub 5 and it showed the same messages in the log. For whatever reason, the Hub 5 doesn't currently show the 3.1 downstream/upstream channels.

See it for the DS but not US in log, testing at 9pm showed some mild US congestion down to 40mbps, DS down slightly, but latency stayed stable and speeds were still high 100s down.

I assume as I only have 4 US, my area has got the US upgrade yet. :)

A few people in this thread got upgraded to 5 3.0 upstreams at 10am on Friday including me, from very different locations in the Country so not sure how it all works.

1 in Newcastle and Cambridge for me, not exactly close.

How's your BQM looking, it'll likely be a little shabby on the green with a Hub5?

Its not the best I have seen but also far from the worst and much better than when I last had VM.

The outage was when I was switching to modem mode (kept same MAC to maintain IP).

My std deviation is under 2ms,

Something clearly not right with your connection.

Yep I agree but Virgin don't.
I had engineers out they find no problems, they swapped hubs move my connection in the cab etc.

Most of the time speeds are perfect but upload occasionally drops to late 20's - 30's Mbps

All stats in the hub logs are im told perfect so I guess I have to just live with it.

No improvement of latency here, if anything the average is a bit more wonky since the upgrade.

Red is where the upgrade happened

I had the saw the same thing when switching from HUB3 to HUB5. my average latency increased and more "wonky"

Are they boosting the upstream speeds for lower tiers same time as the upgrade? Odd your average latency gone up a bit after a channel upgrade.

Here is my first weekday graph, std deviation down to about 1ms.

Not sure if this is a sign they working on it.

Extracts from the log, the modem rebooted after midnight today.

Still 4 US 3.0 channels only.

I think the 3.1 in the log was the DS channel as the errors stopped after the entry of DS assignment change, but the reboot of the modem looks like was remotely done from VM's end.

Oddly enough, I'm getting the same thing - Although I'm seeing service drop out and the actual modem light (going off and staying off). A failed firmware update?

I've seen this happen a few times now, and it almost seems a coincidence that when I go to turn the modem off and on again - The light comes back on by itself. I very much doubt it has a dodgy power connection as it otherwise is up and fine - but certainly bizarre.

Does anyone know if 'master console reset' is remotely initiated?

VM sent a text this morning saying there were upgrading the Hub software during the day and to power off at the wall when complete. Now on 5+1 3.0 and 3.1 downstreams
