She inherits a 70+ majority from Johnson so not the end of the world in the short-term but the 2025 election and a potential recession loom large.
Immediate question is her generosity to business and consumers for fuel support. If she adopts the LibDem suggestion of freezing the cap at today's prices I would expect her popularity to rise significantly.
As would government borrowing.

Agreed. Liz Truss will be defined by her actions. She has a huge agenda, and if people can see that she’s getting on with it, her popularity will sky rocket.
Many members of the public still don’t know much about her.

The left would far rather have a seriously weak leader of the Conservative Party because that’s the only way they can think of to persuade people to vote for them.
