23+ Phillips Hue Smart bulbs 14 are the £50 full colour
10 TP-Link Smart Plugs
3 CCTV Cameras
2 Nest Protect Smoke Detectors
4 motion detectors
3 Smart TVs

Blink video doorbell with Sync2 module (No sub required)
Obviously phones and tablets, can control this anywhere I can get a signal.

All my kit is hard wired where possible, and I've given them static IPs and group them, all the smart home stuff is grouped in the x.x.x.2xx range

Do anyone use the smart functions on a 'smart' TV?

iPlayer is the only thing I use on my smart tv. Quicker than trying to access it through VMs boxes.

I use the media player in conjunction with my desktop PC media server (Serviio) for 1080 content over my home network.

I also use the Youtube player though it does run out of memory rather too often and has to be restarted.

There is an internet browser (Opera I believe) but without a keyboard/mouse interface it's not easy to use. I tried plugging a keyboard/ mouse into the USB port but it came up as unrecognised device. Given the OS is a Sony hybrid of Linux and Android it was worth a try.

I ask as my TV is a smart one, but I have never had any use for any of the apps or functions it has. Because a Fire stick seems to do everything a lot better than the TV. Netflix, Prime, iPlayer works via the V6.

As for other smart things. Lots of Hue lights, a Harmony hub (totally underrated bit of hardware), 2 Amazon Dots (clock versions). Half a dozen or so Tapi plugs. All controlled via IOS (phone/ipads). A coffee machine that's wifi'd up if that's classed as smart, same as the Yamaha AV.

I use my TV apps everyday. Amazon Prime video, Netflix, iplayer. My Sky box isn't as good for the PQ.

I use the media player & Prime, others in the house use Netflix.

Those things, like Netflix via the TV's apps and not via other means.

One strange thing is when I got the TV I did try Apple TV & Netflix. My TV is wired into an AV via HDMI but the SMART functions/apps like Apple TV etc the sound doesn't want to go through the HDMI to the AV at all. I tried via an optical cable from TV to AV which worked but it's always too out of sync.

But with a Fire Stick, Casting, and red button or anything else there's no problems what so ever. Must be my TV (LG mid-range).

Added a Sonos Sub Mini to my setup at Christmas.

Great little Sub that let's the other speakers handle the mid and top end and the Sub Mini adds a bit of punch and fullness to the sound. No vibration or distortion.
It has definately given both music and movies a good sound.
